    At REACH Support Inc. we respectfully acknowledge the land on which we work, live, and serve takes place on the traditional territory of many nations including the Anishinaabe, Mississaugas of the Credit, Wendat, Haudenosaunee, Tionontati, and Ojibwe Peoples.

    At REACH Support Inc. we also acknowledge that the history of African Canadians, is rich, spanning over 400 years and continuing to be made every day by Black, Caribbean, and African Canadians.

    REACH stands for 'Rise, Empower, Advocate and Community Help, which originated from a simple act of kindness, when a friend of REACH Support Inc.’s founder, John Telfer approached him and asked what supports were available for a family who had lost their job due to the pandemic and was struggling to provide food for their children.

  • About The Founder

    REACH Support Inc. was founded by John Telfer, who is a social worker by background, with a focus on diversity, equity and inclusion. John recognizes that due to inequities in society, some families are faced with greater challenges and difficulties due to various factors outside of their control.
